Pearly Cream Body Wash with Plantapon LGC Sorb

This creamy shampoo formula features our polyglucoside surfactant - Plantapon LGC Sorb along with Cocoamidopropyl Betaine. These gentle surfactants offer good foaming characteristics and a nice feel. GuarSilk adds excellent conditioning to the formula while increasing the viscosity. Glycol Stearate helps to build viscosity while leaving the finished product with a creamy feel and pearly appearance.

Ingredient Part A Distilled Water GuarSilk Glycol Stearate Part B Plantapon LGC Sorb Cocomidopropyl Betaine Part C dl Panthenol Solu-Silk SF *Essential Oil(s) Optiphen ND Total

Amount 54.7% = 273.5 grams 0.5% = 2.5 grams 4.0% = 20 grams 25.0% = 125 grams 10.0 % = 50 grams 2.0% = 10 grams 2.0% = 10 grams 1.0% = 5 grams 0.8% = 5 grams 100.0% = 500 grams

Part A: Add GuarSilk to Distilled Water with mixing. It is helpful to create a vortex and while continuing to stir, add the powder to the center of the vortex. Mix well and set aside to hydrate for 30 minutes. Once GuarSilk is hydrated, add Glycol Stearate and begin heating. It’s helpful to use a double boiler since the mixture is very thick and may burn. Heat until Glycol Stearate is completely melted.

Part B: Add ingredients to Part A with gentle mixing.

Part C: Add remainder of ingredients when temp. is less than 120F and mix.
